For students who are interested in having me write a letter of recommendation for college applications, please read the following instructions. If you do not submit all the required materials within your email, your request will NOT be considered. The evaluation process will be mainly based on the following categories: academic integrity, classroom etiquette, and academic performance. All requests will be due by 11:59 pm on April 18, 2020 – there will be no extensions.

I will send an email reply to students that meet the qualifications, follow the requirements and are selected. If you do not receive an email response by May 15, 2020, you are not on my list to receive a college recommendation letter. I will cap my list at 20 students.

- Send your request to my school email address.
- The subject line should be: FIRST NAME, LAST NAME – RECOMMENDATION REQUEST
- Keep the subject line in capital letters.
- Attach a digital copy (PDF or .doc file types) of your resume.
- Any standard resume format will suffice. Please make sure it includes academics, extracurricular, and volunteer experience.

- In the message portion of your email, please answer the following:
- Describe an "aha" moment you had in my class.
- What is a topic in this class that you struggled with but eventually understood? What methods and tools did you use to understand?
- How has APUSH had an effect on you as a student and/or person?
- Tell me about your favorite topic this year – why was it your favorite?
- What do you want to study in college? Why?
