Zoom
A big THANK YOU to all who made it to my first Zoom session. It was great to see so many of you and I look forward to our next meeting. I did learn a few things from today:
Online Learning Schedule
Below you will find a weekly breakdown of instructional time and office hours for each department. Social Studies is on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. I will be scheduling future Zoom sessions during scheduled instructional times - this should not conflict with other departments. Also, if you have a question then you are welcome to reach out during office hours. As of now, email and itlearning messages are the way to get quick answers.
AP Exam Update
You can review all the changes to AP exams this year. I would HIGHLY recommend you taking the time to read through the changes. Here are some of the key points to remember:
Grades
The district has still not yet finalized grading policy for the rest of the school year. Teachers have been told to start to assign work and continue teaching. The assignments posted to McGraw Hill Connect are MANDATORY. They will count as grades in the future. Please remember that these assignments have DEADLINES. This should be a good reminder of what the online AP exam will be like in May.
A big THANK YOU to all who made it to my first Zoom session. It was great to see so many of you and I look forward to our next meeting. I did learn a few things from today:
- I'm going to extend our future sessions to at least 45 minutes, as 30 minutes just feels too short.
- I just learned that there is a cap of 100 students. I don't believe I can change that.
- Here is a recording of the 1st APUSH Zoom session, in case you missed it.

You can review all the changes to AP exams this year. I would HIGHLY recommend you taking the time to read through the changes. Here are some of the key points to remember:
- The APUSH exam this year will be online on Friday, May 15th at 1pm.
- The exam will be a modified DBQ essay consisting of 5 (not 7) documents. You will only have 45 minutes to complete the exam.
- The DBQ prompt can be any topic from Period 3 (French and Indian War) to Period 7 (WWII).
- If you have accommodations already approved by the College Board, they will be integrated into your online exam.
- The modified rubric is available below.
- The College Board will be offering video tutorials about how to interact with the online exam later in April.
